Should I rent or buy a stairlift? The cost to install a stairlift is the same whether you wish to purchase or rent a stair lift. In general, if you will require use of a chair lift for longer than six months, it is more economical to purchase your lift.
Do you rent stairlifts? Unfortunately, Mobility Plus does not rent stairlifts at this time. Please call if you are interested in purchasing a stairlift for your home.
How do I know what type of chair lift I need? When looking up your stairs from the bottom, does your stair well have a landing? If not, you can benefit from a straight lift.
How long will it take to get a new stair lift installed? Generally, we can have your new lift delivered and installed within just a couple of weeks. Most common lifts are usually in stock and shipped very quickly.
What is a folding rail? If you have a narrow stair well, you may benefit from a chairlift rail that folds down. This helps ambulatory household members with safety going up and down the stairs. When needed, the folding rail instantly folds back out for use.
Can I buy two shorter straight stair lifts rather than one long curved one? Two straight lifts are quicker to install and are slightly less expensive than one curved lift, but there are safety hazards involved. The consumer would have to exit one lift and enter a second, all on a small landing. This increases fall risks.
Can your lifts work outdoors? We sell special lifts for outdoor use, that are built to withstand the elements.
